And if you get the scratches out with some kind of compound- use a spray wax for furniture to polish the plastic in the windshield - lots of airplanes carry a can of Pledge spray wax for that very purpose. - cheap - easy to find - the wax fills the tiny scratches that accumulate leaving the plastic shiny and clear
